Ty Wyss
Retirement Planner
For Ty, retirement planning is not merely about numbers; it’s about helping clients use their wealth—no matter the amount—to create a place of peace for themselves and their loved ones. Through to his ability to listen well, foster hard conversations, and instill deep trust, he makes retirement planning feel comfortable and effortless.
Ty’s compassionate approach to retirement planning is informed by his unique background. In addition to his experience in the financial services industry, he spent several years as a therapist. During that time, he simultaneously founded and ran a nonprofit dedicated to creating justice and education for LGBTQ people in faith spaces.
Ty holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Liberty University and a master’s in counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. He holds Series 66, Series 7, Series 63, Long Term Care and Life & Health Insurance licenses. When he’s not working, he enjoys traveling—especially when it involves finding a new beach, pool or vacation spot on the water. He and his husband, Matt, share a blended family with six kids—Levi, Olivia, Beckett, Ava, Asa, and Shiloh.
